No longer are the days of constantly pushing people to buy your stuff, rude sales people and horrible customer service. Heck, even traditional media such as billboards, TV and radio are dying away, even though the price is still rising for them which just blows our mind. Even Google Adwords and online advertising, that is not on social media, is not seeing the rate of return that they were getting. These forms of advertising and sales practices are long on their way as they are just not getting the return on investment like they used to get.
Welcome to the new age of marketing though, and for those of you looking to step up your marketing game, this is just what you need. The new game of marketing is called leverage the hell out of social media and focus on the customers experience and your relationship with them. Social media has long passed traditional marketing and even some online marketing because it puts your ads in front of the people who want to see it and who are looking for it, not like any of the traditional forms where they just target everybody.
