Sometimes those extra trips each year seem too far out of reach to even consider. Like how are you supposed to get enough money to go to Mexico for spring break and then also find a way to get to Europe this year?
Especially as a college student or newly out of college when you aren't making "bank" yet haha...
This is where many people stop thinking about that extra trip or adventure. They think about it for 0.02 seconds and assume it is going to cost more money than they have, so the dream fades soon after.
And that is where I want to help you continue the thought of another trip, before discounting it so fast. It is way more realistic than you are making it out to be!
Example- A $500 plane ticket to Europe, $40 Air Bnb per night, split it 4 ways and boom, you have a place to stay for a week and a plane ticket for under $700! This is just a quick example, but showing you how relatively cheap you can make it when you really want to go experience the world. Don't discount an extra trip until you break down the costs...
So, how are you going to get that extra money?! Cut out Starbucks! Just kidding, you can keep your Starbucks and Chipotle every week! I'll just help you make a little extra money so that you can go on that trip and start really experiencing life.
First, Start With This
If you missed my previous blog post, start by reading that as it will help break down the strategy and give you a better understanding of how to actually get that ball rolling towards increasing your income each and every week.

This blog I want to break down what your "experience fund" is and how it is going to help you add one, maybe two or more adventures a year.
Life is way better with adventures, why not go and start exploring?
The "Experience Fund"
The experience fund is going to be where you put that extra money you are making in order to take the trip you are looking for.
This has to be separate from all of your other bank accounts or money stashes in your house as this money can only be used on experiences, adventures and travel. Those are the things that are going to help you experience more of life and live a great story, so creating a extra account makes sure that happens and that you don't miss out on some great stories.
If you don't set aside the money you start to make from your side hustle, you are just going to be tempted to spend it on random things, as your bank accounts are going to look bigger, and this is really going to set you back.
Why? Because you can't get closer to that adventure if you keep taking out a few hundred each month to go shopping. Are you really going to spend that extra money on clothes to try and impress people in the next week, when you could save it a little longer and take a trip that will leave you with stories for a lifetime?
Putting your money in a separate account makes sure that doesn't happen, also it keeps your extra money out of sight and out of mind!
Before you start setting aside your money in this account, you are going to want to define your goals. How much do you want to set aside? Are you trying to save money for a larger trip, or just money for extra small experiences every month?
This will help you set your goals, as I will talk about next section, and then start seeing your progress towards those goals.
You can start with setting a certain percent away, say 50% of your profits, and the reinvesting the rest so that you can buy more inventory to sell. Then, add or take away a certain percentage of profits that you are putting in your fund, depending on if you want to save more or have more money to reinvest.
Why This Is So Important
Well, the biggest reason is that you won't be tempted to spend it earlier than you should, further delaying your adventure. We as humans often seek out instant gratification and if we see that extra hundred dollars a week, or whatever it may be, we might be super tempted to spend it.
But, if we keep it in a separate account that we don't see as often, then we aren't tempted to spend it!
Then, all of the sudden you go to look and you have enough for a trip! Crazy how that works right?
Also, a benefit to having this extra account is you can see your progress towards your goal. Before you setup your experience fund, set out to break down the costs and total of your first adventure, and then you have a new goal to work towards.
